Gipton and Harehills Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a joint enforcement operation on the 11th March 2026, in partnership with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Leeds City Council’s Serious Environmental Crime Team (SECT).
The operation was arranged by PC Rawson, following a series of similar operations held across the ward with the long-term aim of improving road safety and tackling fly-tipping and other environmental offences across the area, following community concerns raised and the local priorities set.
Results included:
☑️ 11 vehicles immediately prohibited ☑️ 2 motorists issued with notice to produce waste carriers licence ☑️ 1 vehicle seized and motorists reported to court ☑️ 1 motorist with a £300 fine for excess loads ☑️ 7 Traffic Offence Reports issued
